Water Damage in Basements

Basement ventilation is an area that is frequently overlooked. Excess ambient air causes condensation accumulation, which provides hospitable conditions for mold growth. Often building crawl spaces are ignored because they are unoccupied and not incorporated in a maintenance routine. We are receiving calls every day to mitigate water damage and remediate subsequent mold growth in basements and crawl spaces that allow excessive moisture to penetrate the building. We recommend including basement/crawl spaces of residential and commercial buildings in scheduled maintenance inspections to reduce the negative impact of water damage and mold growth.
