Prevent Water Damage & Mold
October 2, 2014
Now is a good time to review buildings and perform preventative maintenance by examining building exteriors and existing gutters and downspouts for fatigue and damage. There is still time for replacement before weather conditions discourage exterior work. Repairing or replacing damaged roof materials and installing gutters and downspouts with extensions to disperse water away from building foundations will help keep buildings dry. Once the trees are bare, gutters and downspouts should be inspected to be certain they are free and clear of leaves and debris before snow falls. Routine maintenance will help to prevent water damage and subsequent mold growth.
